Morning or Afternoon Small Teak Boat Canal Adventure (3 or 4hrs)

Semi-custom tour, get to choose with/without lunch

 Are you curious about what canal-side living is like, but you don’t have a whole day to spend time with us?  Yes, we can still take you away from Bangkok City’s hassle and bustle and give you a rare glimpse into the canal-side lifestyle. The tour takes you on a journey on our small teak boat, and you will get to see the eclectic and colorful scenery of the local canal-side communities.  During weekdays, we will stop at the morning market if you are an early bird (the market is from 5:30 - 9:00 am or so). On the weekend, we can stop at the local floating market and get a chance to see and try a variety of Thai food. 

(Please note that we travel only inside canals, not going out to the Chao Phraya River.)

Itinerary - Morning Tour /Afternoon Tour

8:30am / 1:00pm    Meet and greet with our local guide at:

1. Exit 5 or yellow bridge at BTS Wutthakat Station (Silom line, Skytrain) 

2. Wat Mai Yai Nui (Temple by the BTS Wutthakat Station)

   Then, get on our boat to start the journey.

   Our activities are: (Let us know: choose 3 stops as well as stopping for lunch or not)

• Browse a local morning market and historical site from the Ayutthaya period in the "Banyan Tree Temple," with a temple roof structure covered with colorful ceramic titles

  or

• Explore a local floating market, over 100 stalls on the land and vendors on the water, so much variety to choose your lunch and snacks from

• Visit Wat Paknam (”Mouth of the Canal Temple” )to see an enormous Buddha, one-ton solid gold statues, a beautiful crystal pagoda, and a vast skyline view of the old capital of Thonburi

• Wat Koh (“Island Temple”) to see the mummy of a famous monk

• Visit an orchid and nursery in lush greenery

• Visit the Artist's House - 250 years old community, currently going through revitalization by locals

• Lunch stop at the Orchid Garden or Old Fashion Pat Thai restaurant (option)

11:30am / 4:00pm (or 12:30pm / 5:00pm with lunch) Return to the BTS Wutthakat Station or BTS Krung Thonburi Station by a combination of Songtaew/Taxi

Remarks:

• It will be small boat ride throughout the tour.

• Order of the stops may change, depending on the water, weather condition, and time available.

• We are going to some temples. It is a good idea for ladies to cover your shoulders and avoid mini-skirt/shorts. (if you have a scarf it is OK to use it for cover). For male guests, knee length shorts are recommended.

• You will be on and off a boat, so active wear and shoes/sandals are recommended.

• Sunblock, hat, and/or umbrella are recommended.
